Hughton forced to make another change to Black Stars squad for Madagascar clash

Black Stars coach Chris Hughton has been compelled to make another alteration to his squad for the match against Madagascar.

Hughton has extended a late invitation to defender Kasim Adams Nuhu as a replacement for Alexander Djiku, who is injured and will be unavailable for the game on June 18.

This decision follows Hughton’s earlier invitation of Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer to substitute the injured Inaki Williams.

Djiku is currently recuperating from an ankle injury sustained while playing for Strasbourg in the French Ligue 1 in May. Consequently, Hughton has called upon Adams, who had an impressive season with FC Basel in Switzerland.

Adams possesses prior experience in international football, having made 11 appearances for the national team since 2017. There is a possibility that he may feature in the match against Madagascar.

The Black Stars will commence their training camp in Accra on Monday, June 12, in preparation for the crucial qualifier, which is scheduled to take place in Antananarivo.
