Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, has commended Investigative Journalist and Editor for Fourth Estate, Manasseh Azure, for his eye-opening documentary on dubious activities which marred the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).

The Minister acknowledged the Journalist’s efforts at bringing to light the fraudulent ways people engage in at a fee to let others gain undue advantages over others, noting that those who are found guilty of any allegation raised in the video will be held accountable.

“I am grateful to Manasseh for producing a documentary which would help make my job better. If this is going on and there is a cartel, it has to be stopped and I’ll work with security agencies and work Manasseh and his team to make sure that this does not happen under me as the education minister,” he said.

“Free SHS is not for sale so if anybody thinks they can manipulate the system and do something untoward, it has to be stopped,” the Minister added.

‘School Placement on Sale’ is the latest Exclusive anti-corruption documentary released by the fourth Estate on January 30, 2023. The documentary unearths the fraud engagement in the Computerised School Selection and Placement system where scammers, parading as agents with the GES and Ministry of Education, charge people to utter their original school placement at a gruesome Price.

The Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) is an automated merit-based placement result portal that replaced the Laborious Manual System of Selection and Placement to place qualified BECE candidates into the schools they selected prior to their examination, which was introduced in 2005.
