Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus has made it clear that he funded his 2024 election campaign entirely on his own, without support from anyone.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s Upside Down Show on Sunday May 4, A Plus said, “I funded my campaign all alone,” adding that no influential person helped him financially.

“There’s no big man in this country who can say that when A Plus was campaigning, he came to me for one Ghana cedi,” he said.

He also dismissed claims that his campaign was supported through links to BOST, a state-owned company where he once held a job because of his connection with the NPP.

“I did everything by myself because I have money,” he added, stressing that he is financially independent.

Reflecting on his run as an independent candidate in Gomoa Central, A Plus said he faced off with both NPP and NDC candidates.

“When NPP and NDC came doing their skirmishes, I showed them that this is the representative of the street,” he said.

He clarified that he does not consider NPP or NDC as enemies, saying he has no personal issues with either party.
