As part of measures to address the impact of tidal waves, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to construct a mini harbour for the people of Sege to build a sea defense project and also a mini harbour for them.
Dr Bawumia said this when speaking to a gathering of chiefs, traditional leaders, and the people of Sege during his tour of the Greater Accra Region, on Wednesday, September 18.
“We need a mini-harbour. So we are going to work on bringing a mini harbour to Sege here for you and that is a very important thing. And then, of course, very important, we need to do the sea defence for this area.
“So I have a lot to do for you. If I come back in four years, I will have to give an account of what I have done with the sea defence,” he said.
In a subsequent post on his Facebook page, Dr Bawumia said “I am grateful to the chiefs and other stakeholders for the invaluable advice they offered on a more collaborative approach to national development.”
