Ghanaian songwriter and musician, Maccasio has ruled out any ongoing disagreement and agitation with his northern brother, Fancy Gadam.
The Hip hop artiste born Sherif Abdul Majeed disclosed this in an interview with Naa Ashorkor on TV3 New Day.
He explained that the remarks making rounds suggesting any ‘beef’ between the two are just mere rumours and fans’ own estimation of how best they are as artistes.
Maccasio stressed that Fancy Gadam “is just like a brother” and both are focused on promoting music in the Northern sector.
“Not really. That one is just from the fans…From my side, I do not see any beef because even when you look at the kind of music that I do, he is a singer and I am a rapper so I do not see any beef,” he said on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
However, Maccasio was quick to add that he is “the king of the North”. His reason, he said is due to the full capacity attendance at his Tamale stadium concert on December 31, 2023.
The rapper claimed that no artiste can fill the Tamale stadium like he did.
“I think the beef is just about who is the King of the North. What I am saying is there are so many evidences which support my claim. No artiste in the north even when you bring all the a-list artiste from Accra you won’t get the number I got,” he stated.
Maccasio will hold a concert at the Bukom boxing arena on Saturday featuring other artistes from the Northern Region.
