Hiplife legend, Mzbel, recently revealed in an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 92.7 that she received death threats for endorsing the NDC during the 2016 elections.
The music artist stated that she will no longer support the political party in the same manner because of the dangers she faced.
However, she will continue to support them in different ways. The legendary Hiplife songstress shared that she experienced attacks from people who disagreed with her political views, including being egged on stage.
Despite this, she will remain true to her identity as a musician and performer and back her political party in alternative ways.
MzBel’s hit songs like “16 years,” “Awoso me,” “E dey bee,” “Asibolanga,” and “Saucy Girl” became anthems for Ghanaians.
She has also collaborated with other artists and is an entrepreneur and global ambassador for people with disabilities, using her voice for causes beyond music.
