President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his unwavering confidence in Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a trustworthy and capable leader who has never let him down throughout their political journey.
Speaking at a rally in Kumasi, the President passionately encouraged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia over former President John Dramani Mahama, whom he criticized as a failed leader seeking another chance at power.
Highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s readiness to lead, President Akufo-Addo praised his Vice President’s loyalty and competence. “This is a man who has never lied to me,” he stated. “I trust him completely, and I urge Ghanaians to do the same. Dr. Bawumia has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver and his unwavering dedication to the vision of developing Ghana. He is the right person to build on the progress we’ve made.”
This endorsement adds to a series of public commendations from the President. During a visit to Wa in the Upper West Region in October, Akufo-Addo lauded Dr. Bawumia’s nearly two decades of public service, emphasizing his track record of dedication and his profound understanding of Ghana’s challenges and aspirations.
As the nation gears up for the 2024 general elections, President Akufo-Addo urged voters to choose a leader who embodies commitment, vision, and competence, stressing that Dr. Bawumia is best suited to continue steering Ghana toward a brighter future.
