Legendary Ghanaian actress and fashion designer, Pascaline Edwards has weighed in on the financial struggles of fellow entertainer, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, otherwise known as Funny Face, expressing empathy and understanding for his recent challenges.
The multiple award-winning actress who is known for her roles in numerous Ghanaian films, noted that Funny Face has recently faced numerous trials, indicating that his financial woes might be a consequence of the tumultuous experiences he has undergone.
It will be recalled that the popular actor, earlier this week explained why he hasn’t seen his daughters in four years, saying it is because he is now a broke man. he therefore pleaded with people to desist from badmouthing him or destroying his image to companies that are willing to work with him. He admitted to making mistakes in life, for which he is bearing the cost, but he is actively trying to secure ambassadorial deals to improve his finances.
However, Pascaline, who has herself navigated the complexities of both life and the entertainment industry asserted that she is not surprised her fellow thespian is ‘broke’, stressing that the comedian has been through “hell and back,” implying a series of hardships that have left an indelible mark on his life.
Pascaline Edwards made this statement while speaking in an interview with Pulse Ghana.
”I’m not surprised Funny Face is broken. Oh, his case is a very dicey one. The guy has gone through hell and back. So why won’t he be broke. He is trying to pick up the pieces. So yes, I’m not surprised at all that he is broke.
