Legendary highlife musician Adane Best has expressed concern about the alleged decline of Kuami Eugene’s career.
Best, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry, believes that Eugene’s career has been declining due to his reliance on the same formula he used in his early years.
“Kuami Eugene’s hype has gone down,” Best said in an interview with Asempa FM. “But for him to rise back up he needs people to support him. He keeps doing what he did when he was young.
Doing the same thing means he will have the same results. Though he is talented, the surrounding hype is dying.”
Best emphasized that he is not saying that Eugene has completely dropped off the radar, but that his current standing is not as strong as it was when he first broke out.
He also said that it is important to be honest with those we care about, and that he believes Eugene has the potential to overcome this challenging phase.
“I am not saying he has dropped completely,” Best said. “But if you compare him to when he came out, it is not the same. I have been in the game for 31 years now, so I know what I am saying. If you love someone, you have to tell them the truth and I know he can get out of that.”
Kuami Eugene has not yet responded publicly to Best’s remarks. However, his fans and industry insiders are eager to see what he does next. They hope that he will be able to revitalize his career and recapture the excitement that surrounded his early success.
