Hiplife legend, Okyeame Kwame, also known as Rap Dacta has made a staggering revelation that he felt a sting when Kofi Kinaata scooped the “Songwriter of the Year” award at the Ghana Music Awards three years in a row.
Okyeame Kwame previously held the record for consecutive wins in the same category, having won it twice.
Speaking on Onua TV, Okyeame Kwame divulged that “It did hurt a little after Kofi Kinaata’s streak. I wanted to understand his songwriting process.”
The rap legend and Kofi Kinaata have collaborated on a song dubbed SiKA’’. According to him the desire to learn from Kinaata’s success is what led him to collaborate with the ‘Susuka’ crooner on the song.
He stressed that they’d been discussing a collaboration for several years before it finally came to fruition.
