Ivan Agyaakwah made history on Friday night, scoring his first professional goal to help Greenville Triumph SC secure a thrilling 3-3 draw against Richmond Kickers at City Stadium in the opening round of USL League One.The English-Ghanaian defender played the full 90 minutes and made his mark late in the game. In the 84th minute, Agyaakwah ghosted into the box and guided home a left-footed strike into the top corner, finishing off Connor Evans curling cross from a set piece.Richmond had opened the scoring early through Joshua Kirkland in the 3rd minute, but Greenville responded quickly with goals from Connor Evans and Ben Zakowski in the 31st and 33rd minutes. Kirkland grabbed his second before halftime, leveling the score at 2-2.Chandler O’Dwyer put Richmond ahead again in the 80th minute, but Agyaakwahs late equalizer earned Greenville a well-deserved point away from home.Greenville now hold the upper hand in the head-to-head, with 8 wins, 5 losses, and 5 draws.The Triumph return home on May 17th to face AV Alta.
