Celebrated Ghanaian actress and television host, Nana Ama McBrown, has broken her silence on speculations suggesting that her achievements are tied to black magic locally termed juju.
According to McBrown, some individuals within the creative arts industry believe her rise to stardom is not solely due to talent and perseverance.
During an appearance on Let’s Talk Podcast, hosted by Diva Doc, she spoke candidly about the persistent criticisms and unfounded rumours that have trailed her career. However, she maintains that she holds no grudges against those making such claims.
“Even now, people still make certain comments about me, but I choose to overlook and forgive them. Now, they’re saying I rely on juju simply because I am thriving,” she remarked.
Nana Ama debunked these allegations, emphasizing that her success is a result of years of dedication, rigorous training, and a deliberate effort to excel in her craft.
She acknowledged that while her entry into the acting industry may have appeared swift, it was anything but effortless.
“My transition into acting may have seemed quick, but people don’t know my journey… I am a perfectionist because I want to leave a legacy. And before I go, my mark will remain for people to talk about. Everything I do is intentional” she explained.
