Dreams FC skipper John Antwi has warned his teammates not to underestimate Nations FC ahead of their highly-anticipated 2025/26 MTN FA Cup final.
The experienced striker and captain of Dreams FC believes the final will be a difficult contest despite the high stakes involved, with the winner securing Ghana’s slot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Dreams FC and Nations FC will battle for the final domestic trophy of the season when they meet on Sunday, May 31, in what will be a crunchy showdown scheduled for 18:00GMT (6:00pm)
Speaking on Sporty FM ahead of the match, Antwi acknowledged the quality within the Nations FC squad and recalled the tough encounters between the two sides during the Ghana Premier League season.
“Looking at Nations FC I will say they have a very good team. We played them in the league. I think we played them twice and it was very difficult,” Antwi said.
The veteran forward stressed that Dreams FC must remain focused and united if they are to lift the trophy and secure continental football for next season.
“So going into the final with them we need to be prepared very well, be focused and then play as a team to win the trophy,” he added.
Dreams FC will be hoping to cap off their season with silverware, while Nations FC will be determined to end their campaign on a high note after suffering relegation from the Ghana Premier League.
With a place in the CAF Confederation Cup at stake, both clubs have everything to play for in what promises to be a fiercely contested final.
