The funeral of Ghanaian actor John Dumelo’s mother, Mrs. Veronica Ama Ampoma Dumelo, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, after a funeral service.
A one-week observation was held in her memory on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabaraka, Accra. The program was attended by several showbiz personalities, friends, and family, including Yvonne Nelson, Bola Ray, and Soraya Mensah.
Mrs. Dumelo passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the age of 71. She was a retired customs officer. The cause of her death has not been released.
John Dumelo took to social media to confirm the news of his mother’s passing. “My heart is broken. My dear mother passed away peacefully yesterday,” he wrote. “My number one supporter. Heaven has gained an angel.”
The funeral service will be held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Adabaraka on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow at the Osu Cemetery.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the John Dumelo Foundation, which supports education and healthcare initiatives in Ghana.
