Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have reportedly made contact with Gor Mahia assistant coach Bismark Kobi Mensah over a potential move to become the club’s next head coach.
The Phobians parted ways with head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani despite a third-place finish in the just-finished campaign and are now on the lookout for his replacement.
The Rainbow Club are actively searching for a new leader to steer the team forward, and Kobi Mensah has emerged as one of the leading candidates under consideration by the club’s hierarchy.
The Ghanaian coach played a key role in the success of Kenyan giants Gor Mahia during the 2025/26 season, where they went on to win the league title under head coach Charles Akonnor.
His tactical input and support within the technical team were seen as important factors in Gor Mahia’s dominant campaign, earning him recognition within African coaching circles.
Kobi Mensah, a former Black Galaxies assistant coach, is expected to be considered as a potential replacement for outgoing Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani.
He is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having previously managed clubs such as Karela United, Bechem United, and Great Olympics, building a reputation as a tactically disciplined gaffer.
With discussions reportedly ongoing, Hearts of Oak are expected to make a decision in the coming weeks as they look to appoint a coach capable of restoring the club’s dominance.
