The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final is set to make history with its first-ever halftime show, bringing together a lineup of global music stars for a Super Bowl-style performance on July 19 in New York.
Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, BTS and Burna Boy will headline the 11-minute spectacle, joined by conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay and the Sesame Street Muppets. The performance will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
Curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, the halftime show aims to raise $100 million for education initiatives benefiting children around the world. “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” Bieber said, highlighting the global significance of the event as music and football unite on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Several of the artists already have ties to the tournament. Shakira and Burna Boy performed during the World Cup’s opening celebrations across the United States, Canada and Mexico, while their collaboration “Dai Dai” has become one of the competition’s standout songs, dominating charts and serving as a soundtrack throughout the tournament.
The inaugural halftime show comes as the expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup reaches its final stages, with football’s biggest stars competing for the trophy while some of music’s biggest names prepare to close out the tournament. With a lineup spanning pop, Afrobeats, K-pop, Latin music and orchestral performance, the World Cup Final is set to deliver one of the most ambitious live music events in FIFA history.
