Kanye West has postponed his scheduled concert in Marseille, France, following growing pressure and reports that the country’s Interior Minister, Laurent Nuñez, was seeking to block the performance over the rapper’s controversial remarks.
The show had been set for June 11.
In a statement shared on X, West said the decision to postpone was his alone, adding that it came “after much thought and consideration” and was meant to protect his fans from being caught up in the situation. Authorities in France had reportedly raised concerns due to his past antisemitic comments, which have triggered widespread backlash across Europe.

The controversy has already affected his touring plans internationally, with the United Kingdom previously blocking his entry and canceling a planned festival appearance. West, also known as Ye, has faced repeated criticism for antisemitic statements, including the release of a track titled “Heil Hitler” in 2025, which was later banned from major streaming platforms. He has since said he takes responsibility for his actions and is working to make amends.
