Karela United and FC AshantiGold have both expressed interest in former Asante Kotoko forward Isaac Mintah. The 27-year-old striker became a free agent earlier this week after mutually terminating his contract with the Porcupine Warriors, bringing an end to a spell that started with high expectations but failed to deliver the desired impact. He initially joined Kotoko in January 2025 on a two-and-a-half-year deal following a difficult spell with Libyan side Al Ahli, having previously impressed at Aduana FC, where he scored 9 goals in 11 matches.Mintah’s availability has attracted interest from two Ghana Premier League sides. Karela United are looking to bolster their attacking options, while newly promoted FC AshantiGold, who have strengthened their squad considerably this window, view the striker as a valuable addition. The forward, who has previously faced Karela United twice with Aduana Stars, will now weigh his options as he looks to find a new platform to revive his career ahead of the upcoming season.
