Born Agyemang Atta Rockson Merlin SNR, the artiste has carved out a distinctive musical identity by combining contemporary sounds with influences deeply rooted in African heritage. KHOFI GOLD attended Antoa Senior High School (ANSEC) in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region before completing his secondary education at All For Christ Senior High School in Berekum.
Although he has been pursuing music for several years, 2025 has proven to be a defining year in his career. The artiste has experienced significant growth, expanding his fanbase and strengthening his position within Ghana’s vibrant music industry.
One of the highlights of his breakthrough came in February 2025 with the release of “Waiting So Long,” featuring Kwesi Dain and Yhaw Hero. The collaboration quickly gained momentum, dominating Hip-hop charts in both Kwabre East and Berekum throughout the month. The single also recorded an impressive milestone on Audiomack, surpassing 1,000 streams within its first hour of release.
