A Security Expert, Dr Adam Bonaa has described the killers of the military officer at Kasoa as hardened criminals.

He says that these people are terrorists who are fully armed and terrorizing everybody they see.

“I think that apart from the suspect who murdered in cold blood this military officer, obviously, he didn’t work alone, he worked with other people. If you know the way these land guards operate, they operate like terrorists, they come fully armed and terrorize everybody.

“…For them to shoot in the full glare of the police means that these are hardened criminals,” he said on the Ghana Tonight show on TV3 Wednesday, May 1.

A military officer Lance Corporal Danso Michael was shot dead over land dispute at Millenium City in Kasoa in the Central Region.

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) announced that it has begun investigations into the matter.

In a statement confirming the death of the soldier, GAF said its preliminary investigations indicate that one of the officers who was attacked, Lance Corporal Omar Abdul Rahman owned a half plot of land which was in dispute at the Millennium City in Kasoa.

GAF said Omar Abdul Rahman received information on Tuesday, April 30 that some men were working on the half plot of land which was in dispute.

Accompanied by two of his colleagues, Lance Corporal Danso Michael (the deceased) and Lance Corporal Ametus Matthew, they visited the land and confirmed the information upon which they subsequently stopped the men from working on the land.

The statement continued that the officers proceeded to the Kasoa Millennium City police station to report the issue only to be confronted by Benlord Ababio, the acclaimed owner of the land and two others believed to be land guards.
