Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of former Hearts of Oak centre-back, Mohammed Alhassan.
The announcement was made by the reigning league champions on Thursday. Alhassan, who is 30 years old, ended his stint with rival team Hearts of Oak in December 2022.

With his transfer to Asante Kotoko, Alhassan brings his wealth of experience and talent to the club. During his four years with Hearts of Oak, he was instrumental in their achievements, including winning the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League and two FA Cup trophies.
Alhassan’s strong performance also earned him a place on the Black Galaxies team that qualified for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria earlier this year. Unfortunately, his lack of a club prevented him from participating in the tournament.
He has now joined Seydou Zerbo’s squad and is expected to help the team defend their Premier League title as well as win the FA Cup.
Kotoko are currently second on the league standings behind Aduana Stars. They have also been paired against Aduana Stars in the FA Cup last 16.
