Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the spouse of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, hosted internationally renowned footwear designer Christian Louboutin at her private residence on October 12, 2026.
The meeting followed Mr Louboutin’s attendance at Sunday’s Akwasidae Festival at Manhyia Palace, Kumasi.
Discussions during the closed-door meeting centred on the potential establishment of a Christian Louboutin outlet in Kumasi, a development that could further enhance the city’s profile as a destination for luxury fashion and lifestyle brands.
Mr Louboutin was accompanied by Emmanuella Mensah, Head of Communications and VIPs at Christian Louboutin; Ebony Tagoe (née Atakorah), Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Studio Dream; and Tony Tagoe, Director of Operations at Studio Dream.
The visit highlights growing intersections between Asante culture, international fashion and potential business opportunities in Kumasi.
