A developing case in Kumasi has sparked widespread attention following the death of popular social media influencer Sally Benson, with police confirming details surrounding the incident and a final message from the deceased now circulating online.
According to police reports cited by Joy News, Benson is believed to have died following a violent confrontation involving her boyfriend, Francis Arthur, a 48-year-old businessman.
Authorities say the incident occurred after Benson and a female friend reportedly visited Arthur’s residence at Ayigya-Maxima upon learning that another woman had been seen at the property. What began as a confrontation over suspected infidelity is said to have escalated into a heated altercation.
Chief Inspector Samuel Agyare, speaking on the matter, indicated that Arthur allegedly assaulted Benson repeatedly during the dispute.

Following the incident, Benson is reported to have collapsed. Arthur allegedly transported her to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in her own vehicle. Medical staff later pronounced her dead on arrival.
Her body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing as they work to establish the full circumstances leading to the tragedy. No formal court ruling has yet been made regarding the allegations.
In the aftermath of her death, a video circulating on TikTok, described as Benson’s last message, has resurfaced and gone viral.
The content of the video has not been officially verified by authorities, but it has intensified public discussion around the case on social media platforms.
