Brazilian side Grêmio FBPA has confirmed they were only officially informed by the Ghana Football Association on Monday about the national team call-up involving winger Francis Amuzu, according to reports from journalist Filipe Duarte of Gaucha ZH.

The late communication has reportedly created concerns for the Brazilian club, as Amuzu would have been expected to report to Ghana’s training camp on May 14.

Had the player joined the national team camp as scheduled, he would have missed four matches for Grêmio during a crucial period of their campaign.

The development has sparked discussions over the timing of international call-ups and communication between national football associations and clubs, particularly with teams balancing domestic competitions and international commitments.

Amuzu has been an important member of the Grêmio squad this season, contributing with his pace and attacking versatility in the Brazilian league.
