Asamoah then replaced Max Watters in the 57th minute and doubled the advantage a minute later, making the most of his chance after coming on.Mansfield pushed for a way back, with Jon Russell striking the crossbar in the 88th minute, but Port Vale held firm to claim all three points.The 23-year-old was named Port Vales player of the match by Sofascore, earning 71 per cent of the fan vote. He finished the game with a 8.1 rating as Vale secured a comfortable win at home.Port Vale will now turn their attention to League Two, where they face Grimsby on October 10.
