A Georgia man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to charges linked to the theft of hard drives containing unreleased music belonging to global superstar Beyoncé.
Kelvin Evans, 40, entered the plea in Fulton County Superior Court on Tuesday, bringing an end to a case that stemmed from a theft involving members of the singer’s production team during her tour stop in Atlanta. He was sentenced to five years in total, with two years to be served in custody and the remainder on probation.
The charges included entering an automobile and criminal trespass. As part of the court agreement, Evans was also ordered to have no contact with the victims and banned from entering the parking facility where the incident took place. The resolution came just two days after jury selection had begun.

Prosecutors told the court that surveillance footage linked Evans to the incident, showing a vehicle near a rental SUV in a parking deck and later capturing him unloading luggage identified as belonging to members of Beyoncé’s touring team. Evans had previously denied the allegations and rejected an earlier plea offer before changing his position ahead of trial.
