Acclaimed Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has said that marriage saved her from a life of aimlessness.
In an interview with Kingdom FM, Afaglo said that before she got married, she was “wild” and “filled with youthful exuberance.” She stressed that she had to leave all of that behind and focus on making her marital home better.
Afaglo, wife of celebrated Ghanaian musician Praye Honeho, expressed gratitude for still being considered one of the top Ghanaian actresses, even though marriage has slowed down her acting career.
The outspoken actress was quick to admit that she would have “gone down a different path” if she had not gotten married, and that she is grateful that she was able to “change course” and focus on her family.
