
Ghanaian midfielder Michael Agbekpornu has joined Raja Casablanca from Spanish club SD Huesca on a free transfer, giving the Moroccan side a new central midfield option for the 2026-27 season.The 27-year-old, who was born in Accra, has moved to the Botola Pro Inwi club after leaving Huesca. Agbekpornus switch was completed on 22 August 2026, with Raja securing his services without a transfer fee.Agbekpornu plays in central midfield and is right-footed. Standing at 1.88m, he has spent much of his career playing in European leagues, including spells in Spain, Croatia and Albania before arriving in Morocco.His time at SD Huesca began in February 2026, when he joined the club from Croatian side Slaven Belupo in a 150,000 transfer. He made 10 appearances in Spains LaLiga2 during his career, before moving on to Raja.The Ghanaian previously represented Slaven Belupo for two seasons after joining from Albanian club KF Egnatia in July 2023. He made 63 appearances in Croatias SuperSport HNL, scoring once and providing seven assists.Agbekpornu had earlier spent two seasons with Egnatia, where he helped the club win the Albanian Cup in the 2022-23 campaign. He made 49 appearances in Albanias top division, scoring once and registering one assist.Before moving to Europe, Agbekpornu played for Ghanaian club Dreams FC. His career also includes 25 appearances in the Premier League, alongside outings in the Albanian Cup and Croatian domestic cup.Raja have agreed a contract with Agbekpornu that runs until 30 June 2029. The midfielder joins with a recorded market value of 300,000 and becomes part of a squad competing in Moroccos top-flight Botola Pro Inwi.The move marks the next stage of Agbekpornus career after a short spell in Spain and continues his progression through clubs in several European competitions. His experience in Croatias top division and Albanias domestic game adds to the competitive background he brings to Raja.Agbekpornus free transfer to Raja Casablanca was completed on 22 August 2026, with his contract secured until June 2029.
