Renowned Ghanaian actor Mikki Osei Berko, known for his roles in “Taxi Driver” and “Dada Boat” has expressed enthusiastic support for the Black Star Experience initiative, highlighting its potential to transform the movie industry and boost the national economy.
Speaking to Ghana Weekend at the launch of the Black Star Experience on May 1, Berko emphasised the initiative’s importance in promoting Ghanaian culture and creating job opportunities within the creative arts sector.
“The movie industry looks forward to whatever the Black Star Experience initiative has for us to sell the industry nationwide,” Berko stated.
He further described the initiative as a source of wisdom that promises to elevate not only the creative arts but also the broader economy of Ghana.
Berko noted, “If the Black Star Experience initiative is implemented, it’s going to bring a big change, not just for actors but also boost the economy.”
He believes the initiative will celebrate Ghanaian culture on a global stage, showcasing the country’s rich heritage and talent.
Demonstrating his commitment, Berko said, “I’m so happy. I don’t usually go for events, but I’m here because I want to be part of it. I cancelled everything for this.”
