Maradona Yeboah Adjei, the President of the University of Ghana (UG) Students Representative Council (SRC), believes his success should serve as a powerful source of motivation and inspiration for everyone. In an interview on Cape Coast’s Property FM, musician Guru NKZ highlighted that many people see musicians only as entertainers, overlooking the wider contributions they can make beyond music.
He noted, “The narrative was always that as for musicians yours is about performing on stage with lights and sound in order to make people dance through the songs we do. Most people didn’t know that we musicians don’t only do music for people to dance but we do have ideas about a lot of things so this ought to happen for future generations yet unborn.”
Maradona encouraged his fellow musicians to recognize their potential beyond their artistic talents. “Every musician should also know that there’s no limit to what we can do, but a lot of musicians have done their first degree, and let my victory as the UG SRC be your biggest motivation,” he stated. He emphasized, “We shouldn’t limit ourselves to our talent alone, but we can go to school in addition, and after graduating, it will help you someday in the future.”
