The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released the postings for 106,223 national service personnel for the 2024/2025 service year. The announcement, made on September 6, 2024, includes a diverse group of individuals: graduates from accredited Ghanaian universities, Ghanaians who studied abroad, defaulters, and private applicants.
A mop-up exercise will follow to assign any remaining personnel. The NSA emphasizes the importance of this mandatory national service in contributing to national development.
The NSA stated that to ensure a smooth transition, all deployed personnel must adhere to a specific validation and registration process. This begins with logging onto their website to check placement. Following this, they further explained that all personnel are required to print their appointment letter and get it endorsed at their place of posting. The next step involves booking an appointment online for their registration date and time. The final phase is to complete the registration at the assigned Regional Validation and Registration Centre, with the necessary documents including an endorsed appointment letter and a valid Ghana Card.
The registration process is scheduled to commence on Thursday, September 12, 2024, and will close on Monday, September 30, 2024. The Authority affirmed that this timeline will ensure that all personnel have ample time to complete their registration and prepare for their service. The national service itself is set to begin on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
In an important reminder, the Authority also stated that reposting requests will not be entertained. They urge all national service personnel to accept their postings as an integral part of their civic duty and their contributions toward the nation’s progress. This directive they say, aims to instill a sense of responsibility and dedication among the personnel.
