The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has advised its sympathizers to seek clearance from the party’s National Communications Bureau before producing campaign adverts.
This move aims to ensure “message harmony and effective communication” ahead of the December 7 polls.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, National Communication Officer, some enthusiastic supporters have been creating their own adverts and creative works to promote the party’s policies.
While appreciating their enthusiasm, Gyamfi emphasized the need for coordination to avoid mixed messages.
“To ensure message harmony and effective communication, we are advising anyone desirous of producing an advert to promote the policies of the NDC to contact the National Communications Bureau of the party for the necessary clearance and guidance,” Sammy Gyamfi stated.
The decision follows backlash after comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB, an NDC sympathizer, released a skit explaining how the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) 24-hour economic policy if voted into power, would allow Ghanaians to withdraw money from banks as late as 2 a.m.
