Late Black Stars winger Christian Atsu has been remembered once more by his former club Newcastle United with one of his best displays in the striped Black and White shirt for the Magpies.
The club shared highlights of a match in 2017 which featured Christian Atsu as he gave one of his outstanding performances by setting up an equaliser and eventually grabbing the winner against West Ham in a pulsating Premier League encounter.
When the game was tied 1-1, the then-Black Stars player received a pass at the vertical edge of the box, nutmegged Pablo Zabaletta with his dexterous left foot and laid it on to Mohamed Diamé who finished off the attack with a brilliant strike.
Moments later, Atsu found himself at the end of a counterattack and buried it in the bottom right corner to make it 3-1
Atsu’s Black Stars teammate, Andre Ayew pulled one back for West Ham and had already missed a penalty to end the game 3-2.
