New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Asante Mampong Constituency, Beatrice Owarewa Siaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa, has reportedly died.

According to a report by Asaase News, a source close to her said she died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

The circumstances surrounding her death and the cause have not yet been made public.

Nana Yaa was a businesswoman and philanthropist who had been actively campaigning to represent the NPP in the Asante Mampong Constituency.

As part of her political campaign, she had outlined plans focused on industrialisation, job creation and youth empowerment.

She had also spoken publicly about investments she had made in the constituency, describing them as part of her commitment to the development of the area.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the NPP nor her family had issued an official statement confirming her death.
