Popular Kumawood actor Agya Koo has recently unveiled his new house, which has been the subject of much discussion.
Some people have questioned how he was able to afford such a large and luxurious home, and now, fellow actor Oboy Siki has come forward with some allegations.
Siki claims that Agya Koo received money from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to build his house. He says that Agya Koo was sidelined by the movie industry for a time, and that he was able to resume building his house after he endorsed NPP presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2012 election.
Siki also claims that Agya Koo received more money from the NPP after he endorsed Akufo-Addo in the 2020 election.
Agya Koo has denied these allegations, saying that he started building his house in 2007, when he was still a successful actor. He has also said that he has never received any money from the NPP.
It is unclear who is telling the truth, but the allegations have certainly raised eyebrows. If Siki is correct, it would mean that Agya Koo used his political connections to enrich himself, which would be a serious ethical lapse.
However, if Agya Koo is telling the truth, it would mean that Siki is simply trying to damage his reputation. Only time will tell what the truth is, but the allegations have certainly cast a shadow over Agya Koo’s new house.
