The funeral service for the late Ghanaian rapper OJ Blaq is being held at the Empowerment Worship Centre in Accra.
OJ Blaq’s mother and sister were among the first to pay their last respects to the fallen star, filing past his casket as it lay in state.
Other family members and friends have also gathered at the Dzorwulu branch of the church to mourn his passing.
OJ Blaq, born Andy Nii Akrashie, passed away on Thursday, August 27, after a long battle with kidney disease.
He had been undergoing dialysis and was awaiting a kidney transplant, but his condition worsened in recent months.
He was one of the most popular and influential rappers in Ghana, and his death has been met with an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues alike.
He is remembered for his energetic performances, and his catchy songs including ”Chalewote”
