Black Stars winger Osman Bukari has achieved another remarkable feat this season with his Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade after completing the double following their victory over FK Cukaricki to secure the Serbian Cup.
In a thrilling final of the Serbian Cup on Thursday, Red Star staged a comeback to secure a 2-1 victory at the Rajko Mitic Stadium in Belgrade.
In the game, midfielder Marko Docic gave Cukaricki the lead in the 21st minute. However, Red Star’s Serbian forward, Aleksandar Pesic, equalized in the 61st minute and then netted the winning goal shortly after, completing the team’s impressive comeback.
Bukari who has been a key member of the team all season played the played the entire match for Red Star and played a vital role in their victory. On the opposing side, his compatriot Samuel Owusu came on as a substitute in the second half, replacing Luka Adzic for Cukaricki.
He has scored an impressive total of 12 goals and provided six assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Bukari will hope to continue enjoying good moments when he returns to the Black Stars for their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar in June.
