Databank CEO Kojo Addae-Mensah has praised Black Stars head coach Otto Addo for revitalizing the national team’s spirit following a demoralizing winless streak.
The Black Stars faced a challenging period, failing to secure a victory in their last seven matches since November 2023.
Despite this, Addo’s leadership has sparked a turnaround, with the team achieving consecutive wins in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars overcame a one-goal deficit to triumph 2-1 against Mali in Bamako and then clinched a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
“The most important thing is the belief he’s brought back,” Addae-Mensah told Asaase Radio.
“The fans are believing, the team is believing [and] the country is believing and I think that is what is very critical.
“There is no doubt in my mind; the team has a lot of work to do,” he stressed.
Ghana sits second in Group I with 9 points, behind Comoros on goal difference.
