Parliament has officially adjourned until Tuesday, January 21, 2025, marking a brief pause in the legislative session.

This break provides lawmakers with an opportunity to recharge and prepare for the upcoming agenda, which promises to be packed with significant debates and discussions.

According to the parliamentary schedule, the next sitting will take place on Tuesday, January 21, with a range of topics lined up for consideration. These include debates on tackling violence against women and girls, as well as discussions on various bills, such as the Renters’ Rights Bill and the Non-Domestic Rating (Multipliers and Private Schools) Bill.

During the adjournment, committees will continue to meet and conduct business.

For instance, the Public Accounts Committee is scheduled to examine the issue of Crown Court backlogs, while the Energy, Security and Net Zero Committee will discuss matters related to energy security.
