After he was sentenced to four years imprisonment for stealing, Pastor Love, the ex-husband of Gospel musician, Obaapa Christy, has been granted a bail of 2million Ghana Cedis by the Accra High Court.
According to reports, his passport was seized by the authorities to prevent him from traveling outside the country.
Recall that a few months ago, Pastor Hammond Love was sentenned to four years imprisonment with hard labour on October 1, 2024 after a Circuit Court in Accra found him guilty of stealing a 4X4 vehicle belonging to his friend.
Per the details of the report, the vehicle was shipped into the country by his friend in the US. The friend tasked Pastor Love to clear it with his own money and sell it for 50 thousand dollars after which he can deduct the amount he paid as duty.
Later the complainant told Pastor Love to hold on with the sale of the vehicle as he will travel into the country and refund his money.
In April 2017, the complainant arrived in Ghana and when he made enquiries about the car, he was told by Pastor Love that the car had been sold. Pastor Love also refused to produce the money from the sale of the car which forced the friend to take the matter to court.
