Artificial intelligence education platform PerTutor AI is projecting significant revenue expansion outlook over the next 12 months following GH¢10,000 in advertising support awarded to the company for participating in the Youth Economic Forum (YEF) Entrepreneurship Challenge 2026, organised by the Business and Financial Times (B&FT).
The company’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Ernest Addae, said the support is expected to help the firm engage at least 10 institutions, with projected revenue estimated at about GH¢500,000 within six to 12 months.
According to him, PerTutor AI is addressing key challenges in Ghana’s education sector, particularly the high teacher-student ratio and the need to improve quality education delivery through scalable and responsible artificial intelligence systems.
“We are addressing gaps such as the high teacher-student ratio, the need for improved quality of education, and the adoption of scalable and responsible AI systems,” he stated.
Mr. Addae noted that PerTutor AI differentiates itself from other digital learning platforms by offering AI-driven educational support tailored to local needs. He explained that while some platforms focus on general AI tutoring for junior and senior high schools, PerTutor AI provides a more context-specific solution within the Ghanaian education space.
He further indicated that the platform contributes to Ghana’s local production and import substitution agenda, as it was developed entirely by Ghanaians with strong backgrounds in education and teaching experience.
“Most AI deployments in Ghana are developed abroad. PerTutor AI was developed in Ghana by Ghanaians with strong backgrounds in education and teaching experience,” he said.
Beyond revenue growth, the company says its broader goal is to support education transformation through ethical and responsible AI adoption while improving learning outcomes nationwide.
Mr. Addae described the recognition and advertising support received through the entrepreneurship challenge as a major boost to the company’s confidence and long-term vision, adding that growing national interest in artificial intelligence presents strong opportunities for expansion.
“We feel recognised, and this gives us the confidence that we are on the right path. We believe we are ahead of our time in the use of AI in education, but things are rapidly changing in the country,” he said.
He added that government’s recent announcement of a National AI Strategy and a proposed US$215 million investment in the sector further reinforces the relevance of PerTutor AI within Ghana’s evolving digital economy.
