The Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) West Hills will on Saturday, October 28, 2023, embark on a health walk.
Dubbed “10KM Health Walk,” it is a collaboration between the Men’s Ministry and the Women’s Ministry of the church.
The walk will begin from the church which is behind the West Hills Mall in Accra to the Weija Dam and back to the church premises.
Participants will also benefit from a free health screening and a key party after the health walk.
Speaking on the health walk, the Women’s Ministry Leader of PIWC West Hills, Mrs Linda Mante urged all and sundry to partake to increase their fitness levels, improve their moods, and increase their social interactions with other people.
She added that the healthy walk would also help increase their cardiovascular fitness, strengthen their bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost their muscle power and endurance.
Mrs Mante further underscored that it can also reduce their risk of developing conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and some other cancers.
She opined that the health screening was also to afford all participants the opportunity to have their vitals checked so they could know their health status and work on them if need be.
