The Ghana Police has via their official social media platforms reacted to the alleged reports that a police inspector was involved in a robbery.
In a communique dated May 11 and sighted by GH Page, the Ghana Police shared that “The Ashanti Regional command had interdicted police inspector Bright Appiah Dankwah of the Asuoyeboah police station for his alleged involvement Ina robbery attack on a mobile money vendor in Kumasi.
They noted in the communique that “The suspect was arrested by the Ashanti Regional Anti robbery unit following intelligence led operation. A search conducted at his residences led to the retrieval of a Bruni Mod. 92 gun pistol, ammunition and cash amounting to 9, 835.00 Ghana Cedis”.
According to the Ghana Police, “On 11/05/2026, the suspect was arraigned before the Atasemanso circuit court and remanded into police custody to reappear on 29/05/2026.
The police assured that “investigations are ongoing”, hence, they would walk the talk and ensure that the law takes its course.
