Port City Football Club have appointed former Asante Kotoko midfielder and ex-West African Football Academy (WAFA) assistant coach Jordan Opoku as their new assistant coach.
The appointment forms part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its technical team ahead of the upcoming football season.
Opoku brings a wealth of experience to the role, having enjoyed a successful playing career with Asante Kotoko before transitioning into coaching. He also served as assistant coach at WAFA, where he gained valuable experience in player development and technical management.
Port City FC believes the former midfielder’s expertise and knowledge of the domestic game will add value to the team’s technical setup as the club prepares for the challenges of the new campaign.
The club is expected to officially introduce Opoku to players and supporters in the coming days as preparations continue.
His arrival is seen as a significant boost for Port City FC, who are aiming to build a competitive squad capable of achieving their objectives in the upcoming season.
