Premier League and European clubs are set to battle it out for Genk forward Joseph Paintsil’s signature.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian international has impressed scouts from Brentford, Fulham and Brighton this season, having been involved in a total of 28 goals during the campaign.
With 14 goals and 14 assists during the regular season, Paintsil’s stats have made him an attractive prospect for clubs that use data-driven scouting.
His performances have raised his value to over £10 million, and he is expected to make a huge return for Genk in the summer transfer window.
Paintsil’s contribution this season has made him the most productive African player in Europe, ahead of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
While he has primarily played on the right for Genk, he is also capable of operating centrally, which has attracted interest from clubs looking to bolster their attacking options.
All three Premier League teams interested in him are looking to build on their successful seasons and strengthen their attack for the future.
