The 2026/27 Premier League resumes on Sunday, October 11, with league leaders Medeama SC among the teams seeking to strengthen their position during a busy Matchday Six.

Hearts of Oak v Port City FC

Hearts of Oak will attempt to end a three-match winless spell when they face impressive newcomers Port City FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The Phobians have eight points from five matches and are unbeaten at home. They have also recorded consecutive home clean sheets and boast the divisions strongest defensive record, having conceded only two goals.

Port City have adapted well to top-flight football and sit third with 10 points after three wins, one draw and one defeat. The Kukurantumi-based club travel to Accra after a 3-1 victory over Bechem United.

Bechem United v Debibi United FC

Berekum Chelsea will be looking to move clear of the relegation zone when they host fellow newcomers Debibi United FC at Golden City Park.

Chelsea have won only once in five games and were beaten 1-0 by Basake Holy Stars last weekend. They have, however, avoided defeat in both of their home matches this season.

Debibi United have also found their first top-flight campaign difficult. They have lost three of their five matches, sit 14th on four points and have been beaten in both away fixtures.

Young Apostles v Aduana FC

Young Apostles face an in-form Aduana FC at Wenchi Sports Stadium while trying to halt a run of three successive defeats.

The hosts are 17th with three points. They have scored twice and conceded nine goals this season, leaving them in need of a response on home territory.

Aduana have won their last three matches since suffering their only defeat of the campaign. The Fire Club are fourth with 10 points, remain unbeaten away from home and have kept clean sheets in both road games.

Bibiani Gold Stars SC v Basake Holy Stars

Gold Stars SC are seeking their first home points of the season when Basake Holy Stars visit Duns Park.

The Miners have collected four points from five matches and lost both of their games in Bibiani.

Basake Holy Stars come into the fixture after a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea last weekend. They are fifth with nine points, although each of their two defeats this season has come away from home.

Bechem United v Vision FC

Bechem United will try to recover from their 3-1 defeat by Port City FC when they welcome Vision FC to Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The Hunters are 10th with seven points and have won both home fixtures without conceding.

Vision FC are without a victory in four matches and have six points from five games. The Tema-based side will hope to convert their recent draws into a first away win.

Medeama SC v Heart of Lions FC

Medeama SCs unbeaten start will be tested by Heart of Lions at Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium.

The champions lead the table with 11 points after three consecutive victories, including a 1-0 success against Debibi United last weekend. Medeama have also won both home matches.

Heart of Lions have responded to their own strong run with back-to-back wins, the latest a 3-2 thriller against FC Ashanti Gold 04. The Kpando club have eight points and will aim to build on their away form after ending a 17-match winless run on the road in their previous away fixture.

FC AshantiGold 04 v FC Samartex 1996

FC Ashanti Gold 04 host unbeaten FC Samartex 1996 at Len Clay Stadium.

The newcomers have won both home games but lost 3-2 to Heart of Lions last weekend. They are ninth with seven points.

Samartex are second on 11 points, level with Medeama, after three wins and two draws. The Timber Giants will travel to Obuasi hoping to preserve their unbeaten opening.

Karela United FC v Dreams FC

Karela United will seek a return to winning form against struggling Dreams FC at Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Karela have six points from five matches, with both of their victories coming at home in Tamale. Their recent home record against Dreams will also provide encouragement.

Dreams remain the only side without a win. The Still Believe club have two points from five games and sit bottom after three defeats and two draws.

They have also lost both away matches and will hope the trip to Tamale brings an end to their difficult start.
