
Newly promoted Pro-Sports FC strengthened their impressive start to life in the UMB Division One League with a commanding 5-0 victory over Future Stars FC at Gyamfi Park on Saturday.
The result continued Pro-Sports FCs unbeaten opening to their debut campaign and underlined their early dominance in Zone Two.
Dominic Owusu put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute, before Richard Boahen converted a penalty 15 minutes later to give Pro-Sports FC a 2-0 advantage.
Albert Gaisie added a third in the 41st minute, ensuring Pro-Sports FC went into half-time with a comfortable lead.
Future Stars were unable to respond after the interval as the home side continued to control the match. Daniel Crenstil scored in the 66th minute, and Joseph Boadu completed the emphatic victory with Pro-Sports FCs fifth goal in the 77th minute.
Nsuopun Fidelity edge New Edubiase
Nsuopun Fidelity FC also preserved their unbeaten start to their second successive Division One League campaign with a narrow 1-0 home win over former Premier League side New Edubiase United FC.
The match was played at the Dominase AstroTurf on Friday, with Seth Asamanyua scoring the only goal in the 23rd minute.
His finish was enough to secure all three points for Nsuopun Fidelity FC and extend their strong beginning to the season.
Mysterious Dwarfs complete late turnaround
Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs maintained their positive start with a 2-1 comeback victory away to King Faisal FC at Gyamfi Park on Sunday.
King Faisal seized control in the 32nd minute when Daniel Fosu Opoku found the net. The hosts protected their advantage through to half-time.
Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs then turned the match around in the closing stages. Adamu Alhassan levelled with an impressive strike in the 80th minute before scoring again seven minutes later.
His second goal completed the comeback and secured a 2-1 win for the visitors.
The results came in Matchday 3 of Zone Two in the Division One League.
