General Overseer of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has mourned the death of Circle-based phone dealer Terry Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Dinero, while using the incident to caution young people about the consequences of the choices they make.
Speaking during a church sermon on Sunday, Prophet Oduro expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased, describing Dinero as a young man who was full of life before his untimely death.
“I will use the opportunity to join all the people who are commiserating with the phone dealer who has been murdered in cold blood. My condolences to the family,” he said.
The preacher subsequently turned his attention to what he described as the reluctance of some young people to listen to advice from their elders and people who care about their wellbeing.
According to Prophet Oduro, some young people often ignore warnings about their decisions and relationships, only to face serious consequences later.
“These young guys have refused to listen to advice,” he stated.
Prophet Oduro also used his own marriage as an example while discussing relationships and the desire among some men to have multiple partners.
The preacher, who said he has been married for 27 years, questioned why some men become dissatisfied with one partner and begin seeking relationships with other women.
“I have been married for 27 years. I don’t understand why some people say they get tired of one woman and want another one. That is foolish talk,” he said.
He further warned young men to be cautious about the relationships they enter, particularly relationships he believes could expose them to destructive consequences.
“A young man who was full of life has been cut off by a harlot,” Prophet Oduro said.
His comments come amid public mourning over the death of Dinero, whose killing has generated concern and discussions on social media.
While expressing his condolences to the bereaved family, Prophet Oduro urged young people to take advice seriously and carefully consider the consequences of their choices before making decisions that could alter their lives.
