Over the years, this city, this stadium, and this shirt became so much more than a job for me: they became a home for me and my family. My youngest daughter was born here, and she will always be proud of that. “We have shared the happiest and most difficult moments together. And throughout that journey, you have been the heart that has given life to this club. I want to express my deepest gratitude to you, the fans. There wasn’t a single day that I felt alone. “Your unconditional support, your chants, and your passion have been a constant source of motivation every time I stepped onto the pitch. “Together we made history by bringing Celta back to Europe, but the greatest trophy I take with me is your affection and the bonds we have built. “I also want to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, the doctor, the physiotherapists, and all the people who work behind the scenes and who have been key to all the unforgettable memories we’ve shared on and off the field. “I feel immensely proud to have been able to represent this historic club and to have defended its badge with honor. “Now I face a new challenge, but I want you to know that this club and this city will always hold a very special place in my heart. I’ll continue to cheer you on from afar. “Always look on the bright side of life, stay positive. Thank you for everything. With all my love, Pepio.”The Ghanaian centre-back is expected to announce his next destination in the coming days.
