Late Ghanaian rapper OJ Blaq will be buried on November 4, 2023, at Dworwulu in Accra.
Prior to his untimely death on August 17, this year, at the age of 40, OJ Blaq had battled kidney disease.
OJ Blaq, whose real name was Andy Nii Akrashie, was born in Accra, Ghana. He began his music career in the early 2000s and released his debut album, “The Blaq Mixtape”, in 2006.
He went on to release several songs, including his hit song “Chalewote”. He was known for his unique rapping style and his social commentary in his music.
He was also a popular actor, appearing in several Ghanaian films and television series.
The forthcoming funeral will be a symphony of grief and gratitude as the music community bids farewell to this dexterous artist.
